Hi there, Lexus owners. Today in your 2013 Lexus GS 350, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you, how to install Draw-Tite's one and a quarter inch trailer hitch receiver, and this is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. It's completely hidden behind the bumper for our cross tube, so you only see the receivers sticking out the back here. There is some small trimming that does need to be made in order for it to stick through, but once you've done so, it looks pretty good. It very well fits into the vehicle and you just got this right here. It's a class two, one and a quarter by one and a quarter receiver, so it's going to be great for your light accessories. more

Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. Now it is going to sit right below the bumper, but the cross tube shoots back a little bit, so the main thing we see is the receiver tube and the cross tube's just going to be kinda hidden underneath the bottom here.Now with it's a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so we're going to have the biggest variety of options when it comes to accessories. Whether we want to free up some space on the inside, we can put a cargo carrier, put all that gear on the outside of our Lexus, or if we want to go on a trip and take some bikes with us, you can put a bike rack in here, or if we tow a trailer, we can use a ball mount. This is going to be a class III hitch. As you can see, the receiver tube is noticeable, but it's nice and tucked in underneath the vehicle, and it's not going to be as noticeable as some of the other ones that kind of stick out a little bit farther. Keep in mind, if it does happen to be noticed, it is a round tube design so it's going to fit nicely with the contour of the vehicle.Again, this is going to be a class III hitch. It's going to be a 2 inch by 2 inch. It's going to have a nice reinforced collar with a rounded edge, give you a little extra stability on the receiver tube. more

Now the first thing that you're going to notice is that they do look quite a bit different. It's because when we install our hitch, we are going to have to take into account that our exhaust is going to be on our passenger's side.Now, the Curt has put in a slight curve right here to compensate for that, so our exhaust can actually go right underneath the hitch, whereas the Draw-Tite is just going to come straight across, and we're actually going to have to relocate the exhaust.Now on this side, where the hitch is going to mount to our frame, there is two small holes in the side here where our exhaust bolts are going to go through, and it's going to lower down a few inches.So if we do decide to go with the Draw-Tite, just keep in mind that the exhaust is going to be a little bit more visible on the back of our Lexus. Now both of our hitches are going to require some trimming of a plastic underbody panel. It's not a big deal. It's just right where the receiver tube is going to come out, and we are going to have to trim that plastic so that it has room.Now on the Draw-Tite also, we're going to have to do a little bit more trimming because that tube is going to come straight across, and we're going to have to make room for that as well.Now when it comes to mounting accessories in either one of our hitches, clearance is going to be a key factor. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Lexus RX 450h, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13282.Here we can see our Curt hitch installed on our Lexus, and the nice thing about this is it is going to be mainly hidden. It's going to be very minimal, and it's not going to be distracting from the looks on our Lexus.It is going to have that 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, which means we're going to have a ton of options for accessories that we can mount. So if you have a small trailer, you get a ball mount, or if you need to transport a few bikes, a bike rack, or maybe you're taking the family on a trip and you need a cargo carrier for that extra space.The hitch is going to be tucked up nicely right to the back of the fascia, and we can see it's pretty even from the side. So we're not going to have to worry about hitting our leg on it if we're walking behind our Lexus, or if we're loading something in the back.Our Curt hitch is going to have a loop style safety chain connection point. It's going to be welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. And as you can see, we're going to have a decent amount of room to get most sized hooks on or off without worrying about binding up, or the limited space.As far as how we're going to mount all of our accessories, this is a Class III, so it's going to take a standard 5/8ths pin and clip. more

It is going to sit right below the bumper, and the cross tube is going to be visible, but it's going to sit back far enough that it's not going to be a big distraction against our Lexus. It is a class one hitch, which means it's going to be great for some light duty towing, a bike rack, or even a cargo carrier; especially if you are trying to carry a bike rack and you don't want to deal with the hassle of putting a roof rack on, or possibly mounting a truck mount to your car, potentially damaging the finish.It's going to make it a lot easier to transport those items without having to lift them up onto the roof, or again, putting them on the back of your truck, to be able to mount a bike rack, and to add that extra space for the cargo carrier, freeing up space inside of our car.Since it is a class one, it is going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and quarter receiver tube opening. The way we're going to mount all those accessories is through the half inch pinhole on the side here; and the pinning clip are included in the kit, which is always a nice added bonus.As far as the safety chain connection points, we're going to have a plate style that's welded to the bottom. If they make an accessory in hitches it's probably gonna come in a class three variety. Now to hold those things in place we'll have two holes here on the side of the hitch, you want to use the one located closest to the front of the vehicle, it's gonna be the larger hole, it's five-eighths of an inch in diameter and you want to choose class three accessories for it. Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Lexus RX 350 we're gonna take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite custom fit class three trailer hitch receiver, its part number is 75676.Here's what your hitch is gonna look like installed, as you can see we're really not changing the cosmetics of the rear of the vehicle that much at all. We're just gonna have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and the reinforcement collar there that'll be really visible behind the vehicle, the rest of the cross tube remains completely hidden behind the rear fascia so we can maintain that nice look of the RX 350. Another thing I like about the appearance of the hitch is that it doesn't really stick way out here on the back of the vehicle, it's nice, close to the rear of the vehicle, doesn't hang out past the rear edge of the bumper, never have to worry about running into it or anything like that.This is a class three hitch, that's gonna make it extremely versatile whether it's bike racks, cargo carriers, ball mounts that you need, just about any type of hitch accessory they make probably comes in a class three variety. See there are two holes in the hitch, we always want to use the larger one, the one that's gonna be closer to the front of the vehicle. That's five-eighths of an inch in diameter and there's gonna be a good amount of room around there for whatever style pin or maybe locking hitch pin or even anti-rattle device that you'd want to use. The rear hole you're only gonna use that with the J pin stabilization system which is just one form of anti-rattle device.Now when you are towing a trailer we do have safety chain connection points here. more

The first thing you'll notice about this hitch is that we have plenty of clearance around our receiver opening, making this an ideal hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. You'll find our industry-standard 5/8" diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of our hitching mounted accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip on our website, as part number PZ3.Welded onto the bottom of our receiver and the frame of our hitch you'll find our plates, which have our safety chain loops to attach the safety chains from our trailer. Fairly decent sized openings, so we shouldn't have much problem, if any at all, hooking on the chains. Welded onto the back of our receiver we have this nice collar here to help give us a nice finished look and to increase the strength of the receiver.This hitch features a 525 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. more

Today on our 2016 Lexus RX 350, we'll be having a look at our best trailer hitch options. We have two options here for hitches today. On the top we have a CURT Class 3, part number C13272. On the bottom we have a Draw-Tite Class 3, part number 75540. Now the biggest difference we found between our two hitches is our weight capacities. Our CURT hitch here on the top has a 600 pound max tongue weight rating, and that stays the same with weight distribution and without weight distribution. Whereas our Draw-Tite hitch here has a 675 max gross tongue weight rating, with or without weight distribution, as well. more

Today on our 2017 Lexus RX 350 we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver, part number 75540. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now as you can see, our hitch is completely hidden underneath our rear fascia here. The only part that you can see underneath the vehicle itself is the actual Class 3 2" receiver. Now underneath our receiver, welded on with this rolled tubular steel, we have our safety chain loops. You have easy access all the way around your safety chain loop. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Lexus RX 350 C13272- Video

Today on our 2017 Lexus RX 350 we'll be having a look at and installing the CURT Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number C13272. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, the only part of the hitch that's visible from behind the vehicle and underneath it is the actual Class 3 2" by 2" receiver opening itself. On the bottom we have our nice, easy to use safety chain loops. They are a tubular steel welded to the bottom of the receiver, nice access all the way around. We shouldn't have any problems using any safety chains around it. more

This is designed to accommodate our exhaust. It goes down and around the exhaust rather than having to remove that or lower it. You can see the Curt, is going to be a little bit narrower than what we've got on the Draw-Tite. The Draw-Tite gap here is just a little bit bigger so you might want to keep that in mind. more

Today on our 2008 Lexus RX 350 we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75153. All right, so here's what the hitch looks like installed. As you can it's tucked up nicely underneath our bumper here and wraps around our exhaust, giving our exhaust plenty of room so when our vehicle goes over bumps we don't have to worry about the tail pipe moving around and banging into the hitch making noise. This hitch is a real simple installation, it only takes a few minutes, there's no drilling, cutting, welding required. It goes into factory wall nuts already in the frame, it replaces your factory tow hooks. This hitch has a nice powder coat finish to it which will provide us many years of rust free and corrosion free service. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Lexus RX 330 - Curt- Video

Today on our 2008 Lexus RX 350, we'll be installing the curt class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 13530. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's tucked up nicely underneath our bumper cover here. It wraps around our exhaust here, so you don't have to worry about when going over bumps, having to listen to your muffler or your tail pipe rattle around and bang up against the hitch and cause noise. As you can see here, I'm moving it here pretty good and it comes nowhere close to hitting our hitch. Our hitch has our standard class 3 two inch opening here. On the side of it, we have our 5 eighths inch diameter hitch pin hole here to secure your ball mount, your bike rack or your cargo carrier or any other hitch mounted accessory you may have. We have our nice easy to use safety chain loops on a plate welded to the bottom of the receiver here and you can easily fit your large diameter safety chain here without a problem. This hitch has a nice, round tubular construction and it's powder coated in a high gloss black finish, so it will provide us many years of corrosion and rust free service. This hitch has a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating and a 350 pound max ton weight rating. If you we're to step up to a weight distribution system with your trailer, the capacity increases to 4,000 pounds mass gross trailer weight rating and 400 pounds max gross ton weight rating. You will want to consult with the owner's manual of your Lexus RX 350 to see if it's capable of towing that much weight. more

Today on this 2008 Lexus ES350, we're going to review and install a Hidden Hitch Class II 1-1/4-inch Receiver Hitch, part number 90125. This is what a hitch looks like when it's installed on our ES350. What's nice about it, right off the bat you can see just the receiver opening and that's it. We have an 1-1/4-inch opening right here with a reinforcement around it and we've got our traditional safety chain loops. Now our hitch pin hole here uses 1/2-inch diameter pin or your favorite locking pin. Now you see the receiver opening here It goes up to the body of the hitch and goes across to both sides. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Lexus ES 350 - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on this 2008 Lexus ES350 we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4" Receiver Hitch, part number 36416. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed on our ES350. What's nice about it, right off the bat, you see just the receiver opening and that's it. We got our inch and a quarter opening right here, with a reinforcement around it, and we've got our traditional safety chain loops. Our hitch pin hole here, uses a half inch diameter pin, or your favorite locking tip. Now you see the receiver opening here, it goes up to the body of the hitch and it goes across to both sides. Now this does push up on the bumper cover just a little bit, but everything is nice and hidden behind it. This pitch is ready for 300 lbs of tow weight, with is the force pulling down the hitch, and 3500 lbs of pull weight. You always want to double check with your manufacturer or your owners manual to make sure your vehicle can handle these kinds of weights. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. more
